About NorthStar
Helping families navigate aging with greater clarity and confidence.
NorthStar Family Resources is a Northern Colorado resource created to help families understand their options, find trusted local services, and make more informed decisions as they navigate aging and care.
Why NorthStar
Finding the right answers shouldn't feel so complicated.
When questions about aging or care arise, families are often faced with a lot of information at once—different types of care, unfamiliar services, important decisions, and organizations they may be encountering for the first time.
NorthStar brings those pieces together in one approachable local resource. Families can learn about their options, discover services in their community, hear directly from experienced professionals, and explore practical guidance at their own pace.
The goal isn't to tell families what decision to make. It's to help them better understand their choices so they can decide what feels right for the people they care about.

Why I created NorthStar
I wanted to create the kind of resource I would want my own family to have.
At some point, nearly every family finds themselves facing questions about aging—sometimes gradually, and sometimes all at once. Where do we start? What kind of help is available? Who can we trust? And how do we know we're making the right decision for someone we care about?
What struck me was that Northern Colorado is filled with knowledgeable, compassionate people and organizations doing remarkable work, yet it can still be difficult for families to find them, understand what they do, and know which questions to ask.
I created NorthStar to help close that gap.
I wanted to build a place where families could find useful information without feeling overwhelmed, discover local resources without feeling pressured, and hear directly from the people who work in aging and care every day.
I don't believe NorthStar should tell families what decision to make. My hope is that we can help people ask better questions, understand their options, and feel more confident making the decisions that are right for their own family.
And as NorthStar grows, I want it to remain what it was created to be from the beginning: a trusted, human, local resource for Northern Colorado families.
